New York!
Arrived in New York!
After a long and confusing trip (that ended up costing me > $70), finally arrived in my NYU dorm. Spent the day meeting the other fellows, going shopping out for groceries, and just taking in New York's sights. The fun begins tomorrow and I should probably sleep on time, given that I haven't really slept at all the last two days.
Here's hoping for a great start.

Man, what a journey this has been.
This last semester has whizzed by so fast. The semester was so busy. The last 30 days were so hectic. God.
As you can see, I am completely incoherent atm. I had my last exam yesterday, partied half the night, packed half the night (cuz I had to give my boxes in for storage). Tonight I'm up all night too as I have to pack - I'm moving to New York for HackNY tomorrow.
There's so much to do.
I have to write SO much. I have to write about the semester, I have to write about the last two years and my journey at Princeton so far. I have to write about the people I have met here. I have to write about my upcoming HackNY program and Clothia internship. I have to write about SO many things. I have to vent too. Sigh. I have to write about what I hope to do this summer - in terms of being constructive.
Back to laundry + packing for now. Will update more hopefully later this week!

What a day. What a night!
OMG TODAY WAS SO BUSY.
Colonial dinner in the evening was awesome, met some very cool people, and talked to seniors for guidance. After coming back, tried to do econ. Headed for ice-skating at 10, came back around 12.30. Ice-skating was SO much fun -- especially because so many people came, and because the DJ was playing really good music.
It's 1.40 AM now. I need to start my econ problem set, and then my ORFE problem set. I won't be getting any sleep tonight, but it's perfectly okay. It was worth it.

The Eye of the Storm
It's always too short. And every time, you "could have done so much more". :(
Fall break, here at Princeton, has come to a close. It's Sunday night, and the fun starts again tomorrow.
I came up with an interesting analogy for fall break (or for that matter, spring break during the spring semester). I liken it to the eye of a storm, and I think it's a very appropriate analogy. What do you think?
Some people view fall break as catch-your-breath-before-it-gets-insanely-busy-again time, some as catch-up-on-all-those-classes-that-I-didn't-read-for time, and some as get-ahead-in-every-possible-class-by-studying-every-minute-of-break-time.
I think I belong to the first category of people, at least judging from my behavior in the breaks I have had so far - and I don't regret it. Not one bit.
This fall break has been very relaxing for me. It started off with a trip to Washington, D.C. to see the Rally to Restore Sanity (Princeton arranged two buses to take us to the rally) - which was fun. I mean, sure I couldn't see the front of the Mall where the stage was because I didn't camp there since 2 AM that morning, but my point here is - why do you really go to a football game or a rally like this one? It's for the atmosphere! Of course you can watch the game much more closely on TV, but you go for the game for the electric buzz in the air. The rally was fun more because of the people around and the signs that they carried than because of the antics on stage itself. And I did think Jon Stewart's speech at the end was well-written.
Besides the rally, I have really just been hanging out on campus - with friends, both sophomores and freshmen. I have also caught up on Chuck - covering the last half of the third season and the first half of the second. Oh, and the best part of the break was the many Indian dinners I went for (on some pretext or the other!).
I didn't study much, and of course I should have. But I don't regret it one bit. From tomorrow morning, the campus is going to be abuzz with activity - people are going to be running to early morning lectures, trying to get last-minute reading done, writing that lab report due the same day, and fretting about upcoming exams and problem sets. College is going to start again. And as hectic and insane as it is going to be, to be honest, I can't wait.
